Dear Bobcat Donors,
As we enter this season of gratitude, I’m reminded that generosity is at the heart of everything we do at Texas State. It’s what strengthens our community and transforms lives.
This year, generosity continues to shine brightly across the Bobcat community. Together, our supporters contributed $30.9 million in support of student scholarships, athletics, building developments, and academics. More than 15,500 gifts were made by over 7,200 donors, including almost 3,000 first-time supporters who joined our mission to create opportunities for Texas State students.
What’s most inspiring isn’t just the total; it’s the collective heart behind it. Gifts of every size made an impact, with 68% of all donations being under $100. Each of these contributions, large or small, carries the same message: Bobcats care deeply about helping one another succeed.
November not only invites us to reflect on what we’re grateful for but to also celebrate National Scholarship Month, a time to honor the transformative power of scholarships and the generosity of those who make them possible. Scholarships lighten financial burdens, recognize students' potential, and create pathways to opportunity. Follow us on social media throughout the month to see stories of Bobcats whose lives have been changed through scholarship support and consider joining that impact by making a gift of your own.
That same spirit of giving is beautifully reflected in the story of Abigail “Abby” Parker, a 2021 graduate whose light continues to shine through the Abigail Parker Memorial Scholarship. Created by her family, this endowed fund supports future educators who share Abby’s belief in the power of learning to change lives. Her legacy reminds us that when we give, we don’t just support students, but we also carry forward light, purpose, and possibility.
As we look towards 2026, I am deeply grateful for the community that makes this university so extraordinary. Your generosity strengthens Texas State today and shapes the future for every Bobcat who follows.
With heartfelt thanks,
