Join fellow Bobcats the evening before the game for a Welcome Reception at Joe T. Garcia’s, one of Fort Worth’s most beloved destinations. Start game day at the Bobcat Bash Tailgate, featuring a grab-and-go breakfast, photo stations, spirit giveaways, and a festive hospitality tent with access to a cash bar. After the game, alumni and friends are invited to the Post-Game Celebrations at one of several Bobcat-friendly gathering spots across Fort Worth: Second Rodeo, Little Woodrow's, and Rex's Bar & Grill.

As a token of our appreciation for those in the Bobcat community that have served, armed forces personnel and veterans that attend our Welcome Celebration or Bobcat Bash Tailgate will receive a SWT or TXST challenge coin upon request with a military ID (while supplies last).

TXST's Teaching Award of Honor Recipient

This fall, Dr. Allison Robinson received the Teaching Award of Honor at Faculty Awards Night! This award is presented by the Texas State Alumni Association and recognizes superior Texas State classroom teachers.

Dr. Robinson is an associate professor of instruction in the history department and her research focuses on southern carceral state in the 20th century and the impact carceral policies had on women, girls, and African Americans in the South. She received her BA in Liberal Arts from Concordia University, her MA in History from Texas State University, and her PhD in History from the University of Houston.

Congratulations, Dr. Robinson, and thank you for your commitment to excellence at our university!
