| Welcome to, “YOUR IMPACT,” our first issue of the University Advancement quarterly e-newsletter to showcase the power of philanthropy at Texas State. We have a vibrant donor community that is making a difference in the lives of students and the university.
Since becoming Vice President for University Advancement in January, the Bobcat donor community’s commitment to advancing Texas State's mission, stature, and reputation in Texas and beyond has been evident. Our Run to R1 to become a national research university includes a focus on supporting student success at every level. |

Since 2014, campaign donors have gifted over $235 million in gifts and pledges with more than $108M earmarked for scholarships and student aid. Doing more is essential to achieve our goal of helping students and catapulting Texas State to the NEXT level in our teaching and research mission.
As Texas State looks to celebrate its 125th Anniversary and close in on the $250 million goal for the NEXT IS NOW Campaign in 2024, we want to demonstrate how your generosity is having a significant impact. Below you will find stories of donors from all walks of life who believe in the potential of TXST and the future of our students – and that belief manifests in philanthropic gifts of all types, sizes, and for passions and initiatives of all variety. Whether a young alumnus, a corporation, or faculty member, donors of all types with all interests, like you, are making a difference every day. Learn more about the power of your philanthropy below.

| Enhancing our Football Facility and Student-Athlete Experience

Scholarships for Student-Athletes
Our football student-athletes are receiving another boost from TXST alumni, Tish and Don Stricklin. They have committed a planned gift to the Stricklin Family Endowed Scholarship in Athletics at Texas State University. Their endowment provides needed support for football student-athletes who have distinguished themselves both on and off the field through teamwork and perseverance. |

| Supporting Conservation Research to Benefit Texas and Beyond
Corporate partners are supporting research to help us address state, national, and global issues. H-E-B released a series of documentary films in August focused on conservation efforts in Texas. Batsies, one short film in the series, follows passionate Texas State University wildlife biologists as they work against the clock to find a way to save the bats, while breaking barriers of their own. |

Scholarships for Degree Completion
Many foundations partner with Texas State University to provide access to higher education for our students. Degree completion can be a key factor in students’ academic success. The Crankstart Foundation recently awarded a generous grant to Texas State to support the re-entry scholarship program with distributions from 2023-2026. |

| Grateful Students
Scholarships are a funding priority in our NEXT IS NOW campaign and play a vital role in reducing student loan debt and expanding access to higher education.
"I am extremely grateful to this scholarship support. It's going to help immensely as I've been working full-time to pay for college as I go. Interior design has always been a passion since childhood. It's going to be amazing to put those skills into other people's homes or even help companies bring to life their dream offices! Having this scholarship to put toward my education relieves a lot of my financial burdens and allows me to dedicate more time to my classes." |
