Luis Segura (B.B.A. '10)
Being accepted to the McCoy College of Business Administration in 2014 was a dream for Luis, who hails from McAllen, Texas. With sixty dual-credit hours, he was able to graduate in two years. After graduation, Luis moved to Houston where he grew his career before pursuing his next dream of earning his M.B.A. His success at Texas State gave him the courage to take the next step, and in 2021, he was accepted into the business school at Rice University. “My main lesson here is that through hard work and sacrifice, your life will take you to places you never imagined. I broke barriers that my friends and family would have never thought to be possible,” says Segura, “My journey continues on as a Rice Owl, but my heart will always belong to the Bobcat community.”
