Alumni Association Scholarship Recipients

Amanda Hepner

Amanda Hepner
(B.A. '13)

After graduating in 2013 with a degree in business administration, Amanda went on to work in marketing for one of the largest real estate teams in Austin and later became the marketing manager for the Bush’s Chicken franchise. Amanda is now the owner of Amanda Blue Events, through which she plans weddings and other events. When entering college, Amanda knew she would be taking on the financial commitment to complete her studies and the Texas State Alumni Association scholarship helped alleviate some of that stress for her. “Receiving the Texas State University Alumni Association scholarship helped me worry less and focus more on my studies and experience at Texas State University. I am so grateful for the Alumni Association and the Texas State community,” said Hepner. “I cherish the many memories and relationships I created over the years at Texas State.”

Fall Ring Celebration

In December, 731 students attended the Ring Celebration and received their Official Texas State Rings. These students had the opportunity to take the traditional ring plunge in our beautiful new ring fountain. We always enjoy celebrating this accomplishment with these amazing Bobcats as they move one step closer to becoming alumni.
