YOUR IMPACT

Bobcats 2 Bobcats Scholarship Program Logo

The Bobcats to Bobcats Scholarship Fund was launched in May 2020 as an emergency response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The collective generosity of the Bobcat community enabled the university to provide $1,000 scholarships for over 350 students in the fall of 2020. However, with over 3,500 applications, the need was even greater.

We know the pandemic will continue impacting enrollment and student choices. Given the financial hardships many families are facing, students are choosing to stay closer to home, or delaying college altogether. We are calling on the Bobcat community to come together to help us raise scholarship funds to support our students as we look forward to the fall 2021 semester.

#WeMetAtTXST

Matthew Winn (B.A. '15, M.A. '17) and Emma Carberry (M.A. '17) met as students in the Communication Studies master's program in 2015. While Matthew is a fourth-generation Bobcat, Emma was new to Texas State, but quickly fell in love with both Matthew and the university. The couple, who were married in 2020, are now both TXST staff members, proudly serving the Bobcat community!

TEXAS STATE ZEN MOMENT

Fall 2020 Commencement Ceremonies

a masked graduate raises her hand doing the txst hand sign

In December, Texas State hosted both virtual and in-person, socially distanced commencement ceremonies for all 2020 graduates. Although it may have looked a little different than we're used to, it was wonderful to celebrate the Class of 2020 safely and recognize their incredible achievements.
