Stelos Scholars take a bite of the Big Apple and tackle food sustainability |
The TXST Stelos Scholars program provides one-of-a-kind learning opportunities beyond the traditional college classroom. The two-year program introduces students to a real-world problem and guides them toward proposed solutions. Last year’s design sprint focused on transportation issues. In the 2022 workshop focused on sustainable food, students proposed improvements to the community’s approach to food production, distribution, access, education, or consumption. The group also traveled to New York City to connect with Bobcat alumni and professionals working in broadcast journalism, education, financial services, and TV and film production.
