Campus Recreation
Campus Recreation at Texas State University serves to foster lifelong learning and wellness, stimulate development, and facilitate retention by providing recreation services to the students first, as well as the university community.
In addition to our well-known fitness and sport facilities, we also offer outdoor recreation in the form of University Camp. A 126-acre hideaway on the scenic Blanco River, University Camp offers 5 miles of hike and bike trails throughout the property with sweeping views of the Blanco river and the Wimberly river valley. The Blanco River is suitable year-round for swimming, kayaking, snorkeling, and fishing in the pools above and below the falls.
